Marqués de Larios Street

The most famous street in Malaga, Calle del Marqués de Larios, runs from the Alameda Principal to the Plaza de la Constitución. This broad boulevard that runs through the historic district exudes elegance at every turn and invites visitors and locals alike to stroll aimlessly.
It’s easy to notice that all of the buildings along Calle Marqués de Larios have the same architectural style. It’s a perfectly symmetrical street that exudes symmetry and balance. Malaga Cathedral

The Malaga Cathedral took three centuries to complete and is still unfinished today. Due to the lack of a second tower, the inhabitants of Malaga have named their cathedral “La Manquita.”

The Cathedral of the Incarnation is Malaga’s most important temple and Andalusia’s second tallest cathedral, after Seville’s Giralda. Its construction began in the middle of the 16th century, and it was not completed until the end of the 18th century, following the plans of Diego de Siloé.

One of Malaga’s most important monuments, visible from almost anywhere in the city, is located at the foot of Mount Gibralfaro. The citadel was built in the 11th century and quickly became the world’s best-protected Arab fortress. The Alcazaba of Malaga was completely impregnable due to its complex system of walls, double doors, entrances, arches, and other defensive elements.

Roman Theater of Malaga

The construction of a public building in the heart of Malaga in 1951 uncovered the city’s oldest archaeological remains: the Aditus Maximus, a Roman temple built in the first century.

The Roman Theater of Malaga is a magnificent auditorium constructed in the first century and buried underground for centuries, just a few meters from the Alcazaba of Malaga on the side of Mount Gibralfaro. The Aditus Maximus, a Roman theater constructed in the first century and used by this civilization until the third century, was identified after an analysis of the findings.

La Malagueta bullring
