Facilities at Zurich Airport

Zurich Airport, also known as Kloten Airport and opened in 1921, is the largest in the country and one of the busiest in Europe. It operates with international flights to numerous destinations around the globe.

Can you spend the night at the airport?

Since the terminal is open 24 hours a day, you would be able to spend the night inside the Zurich airport if you have a connecting flight with a long wait or if your flight departs early in the morning.

Are there places to drink and eat 24 hours?

Unfortunately, there are no 24-hour restaurants or cafes, so if you stay in the public area, it is a good idea to stock up on food and drink beforehand. If you are already inside the security area, you will have to use the vending machines.

Where to rest?

If your flight is not a connecting flight but rather an outbound flight, it is ideal to be able to check-in to reach the boarding area, as these are the most comfortable seats. There are some benches where you can at least stretch your legs, and it is normally very quiet between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am so there is almost no activity. Since there is normally a lot of sun, it is often a good idea to have a sleep mask on hand, as well as blankets or jacket.

Entering one of the VIP lounges, which are open 24 hours a day, is a more convenient choice that requires payment or a credit card that provides the service. On the other side, there is a fully equipped hotel in the B / D transit area.

Showers are available at Zurich airport

There are several sectors that offer showers within the enclosure, in addition to the VIP lounges.

Passengers with disabilities

Please inform your airline or travel agent when booking your flight or at least 48 hours before departure. On the car park’s entrance floor, there are reserved parking spaces next to the elevators. Tactile marks can be seen on the highways. Adapted stairs, toilets, and telephones are also available. Children aged 5 to 11 who are traveling alone will be accompanied from check-in to boarding, monitored during the flight, and helped with passport and customs controls.

Is there a luggage storage service?

In parking lot P2 you have both lockers and a left luggage service, the latter from 6:00 am to 10:30 pm.

Does Zurich airport have free Wi-Fi?

The airport has free access for 2 hours.

Other services

ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, baby changing facilities.
